Book vs. Movie

The Twilight Saga was first done in books. When it became so popular they started making movies to go with the books. The mvies are way different from the books, personally I think that the books are better.
Similarities:

• Bella and Edward are in love and together.
• Jacob falls for Bella.
• The location is the same as in the book.
• Main characters are all the same.
• The plot is the same.

Differences:

• In the book Bella always cooks at home while in the movie they always eat at the diner.
• Waylon isnt in the book but in the movie he gets killed, and is good friends with Charlie.
• There is no field trip in the book, the movie they take a field trip to a green house.
• When Bella meets the Cullen family in the book he plays the piano, in the movie they are cooking for her.
• In the book the prom is in their gym, the movie its at a hotel.

            Comparing the book to the movie, it has a lot more differences then it has similarities. When I first saw the first movie I hated it because of how different it was and how much they left out or changed. A reason why they made changes like having the prom in a hotel instead of the gym. They did this so it would look nicer and they could have a more romantic scene.They do these changes to improve the movie and make it more relatiable to the audience. One of the biggest things I noticed that was different is that in the book Bella is completely in love with Edward, but in the movie she is in love with both Edward and Jacob. She doesnt have the love that she does for Edward in the movie like she did in the book. She liked Jacob but it wasnt even comparable to how she felt about Edward. In the movie you dont get the same feeling and she shows a lot of feelings for Jacob. I think another reason why I was disappointed in the movie was because my imgination was completely different. I pictured Edward to be way more dreamy and Bella not to be so awkward. I pictured Jacob to be a huge jerk, like he was in the book, but in the movie he was a lot more nice.

              A lot of the small details that were in the book got left out of the movie, I think its because the movie would turn into a 3 or 4 hour movie if they put in every little detail that the book gives. The big events and main points were still in the movie they were just modified. With each movie they make the better they get with putting more of the small detail in and hitting more of the main points. It would be hard as an arthur to pick which points or details should go in the movie and which ones its ok to leave out. I think that anyone that has read the Twilight Saga will say the books are 100 times better then the movies. Its not that the movies suck or that they are just horrible its that the books you imagine things different because there is just so much detail to everything. I hate that the movies cant get all the small details that makes the books so good. People that havent read the books and have only seen the movies, they should really read the books! You see Twilight in such a different way, lets just say you will be an Edward fan NOT a Jacob fan. Its weird that a lot of the people that have just seen the movie are a Jacob fan and the people that have read the book are Edward fans. That says a lot of how the movie portrays Edward and Jacob and how Bella feels towards them.
